Truffles Recipe

Cookie Dough Truffles

This Cookie Dough Truffles recipe is a delicious treat for family and friends. This beautiful homemade candy can be placed in a pretty container for a great gift.

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened

3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar

2 cups all purpose flour

1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (NOT evaporated)

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1/2 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

1 1/2 pounds semisweet chocolate candy coating, chopped


1. In mixing bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

2. Add flour, condensed milk and vanilla extract; mix well.

3. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.

4. Shape into 1-inch balls; place on wax paper-lined baking sheets. Loosely cover; refrigerate 1-2 hours until firm.

5. In microwave-safe bowl, melt candy coating, stirring often until smooth. Dip balls in coating; place on wax paper-lined baking sheets. Refrigerate until firm, about 15 minutes. If desired, re-melt candy coating; drizzle over candies. Store in refrigerator.

Makes 5 1/2 dozen
