Homemade Christmas Candy

This pretty holiday colored candy also makes great Christmas candy gifts for family and friends or for teachers, the mail carrier, neighbors and more.

Red and Green Pistachio Bark

1 1/4 cups dried cherries, chopped

2 tablespoons water

2 (12 ounce) packages white chocolate chips

6 (2 ounce) vanilla bark coating squares

1 1/4 cups chopped green pistachios

Directions:

1. Microwave cherries and 2 tablespoons water in a small glass bowl on HIGH for 2 minutes. Drain.

2. Melt white chocolate morsels and bark coating in a heavy saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in cherries and pistachios.

3. Spread into a wax paper lined 15 x 10-inch jellyroll pan. Chill 1 hour or until firm.

4. Break into pieces and store in an airtight container.

Makes 3 1/2 pounds.
