Festive Fudge

2 cups sugar

2 tsp cornstarch

few grains salt

12 regular marshmallows

1/2 cup butter or margarine

1 cup chocolate chips

1/2 to 1 cup chopped nuts

1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

1. Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt, marshmallows and butter in heavy saucepan.

2. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat to a boil. Boil and stir 5 minutes more.

3. Take off heat.

4. Stir in chocolate chips, nuts and vanilla until chocolate melts.

5. Spread in buttered 8 inch square pan. Cool. Cut in squares.
