Baked Caramel Corn

This Baked Caramel Corn recipe is a fun take on the old caramel popcorn balls. In this delicious caramel popcorn recipe you get the caramel and the popcorn but it is bite size!

Make enough for game day and sit back and let everyone dig in!



Baked Caramel Corn

PRINT

Ingredients:

1 cup butter or margarine

2 cups firmly packed brown sugar

1/2 cup light or dark corn syrup

1 tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 tsp baking soda

6 quarts popped corn


Directions:

1. Melt butter and stir in brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, then boil without stirring for 5 minutes.

2. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda and vanilla.

3. Gradually pour over corn and turn onto two large shallow baking pans. Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.

4. Remove and cool.

Makes 5 quarts.
